"Threads of Colour"

 

In2Art is pleased to host 'Threads of Colour' by Keith Mervyn Ward from Wednesday November 18 to Thursday November 27, 2008.

 

Ward's paintings can best be described as uplifting and exciting. His colours and painterly style produces works of art that are vibrant and animated.  A versatile artist, Ward explores the technical boundaries of several media and material to realize formal and conceptual ideas, through his varying themes.

 

His media exploration includes oils, watercolours, inks, acrylic, charcoal, pastels and wood. The artist sees his vocation in art as an opportunity for self-growth and personal expression.  On a broader level, his art provides an avenue to investigate, comment and raise levels of consciousness on social, cultural, psychological and philosophical issues.

On November 18, In2Art located at the Aldegonda Apartments, St Ann ’s Road, St Ann ’s, will present Threads of Colour, an art exhibition showcasing the works of Keith Mervyn Ward.

Ward’s paintings, according to a release from In2Art, can best be described as uplifting and exciting. His colours and painterly style produce works of art that are vibrant and animated. A versatile artist, Ward explores the technical boundaries of several media and material to realise formal and conceptual ideas, through his varying themes.

His media exploration includes oils, watercolours, inks, acrylic, charcoal, pastels and wood. The artist, quoting from the release, sees his vocation in art as an opportunity for self-growth and personal expression. On the broader level, his art provides an avenue to investigate, comment and raise levels of consciousness on social, cultural, psychological and philosophical issues.

Threads of Colours consist of a body of work, created over a two-year period. The exhibition will run until November 27.
