KEITH MERVYN WARD

Education: Bachelor of Visual Arts (Hons.) University of the West Indies , Trinidad

Keith Ward's works of art can best be described as uplifting and exciting. Movement and light are two areas of exploration where the artist realizes his formal and conceptual ideas. A colourist, Ward's Caribbean palette and painterly style produce works of art that are both vibrant and animated.

A versatile artist Ward moves comfortably between mediums, these include: oils, watercolours, inks, acrylic, charcoal, pastels, wood and clay sculptures, and mixed medium. Ward sees his vocation in art firstly as an opportunity for self growth and personal expression; additionally as a forum to investigate human concerns and issues with a view to educating and enlightening others.
